Hello Everybody! I've started a blog! Pretty exciting for me! This is my first blog. I will try to update at least weekly, I am using a library inside our NEW building for school! Where to begin? Thank you to everyone who helped me out in this decision to attend IHOPU. Jon- for telling me about it. Uncle Steve and Valbona- for flying me out to the Onething '09 conference, which basically cemented my decision to attend here. And my 2 incredible, awesome, supportive parents! Mom and Dad, you guys really are my greatest supporters, Thank you! And to all my friends who have given me encouragement! Thankyou!
After a 16 hour drive in a STUFFED Mazda, here I am! My parents graciously gave me the car-which I use often, but I am only 5-10 minutes away from all the IHOP buildings, Praise the Lord! I am living in a house with 4 other girls- all who are past incredible! I am living in the basement with 3 other girls, I have my own room. We have a dehumidifier- something I've never seen or used in Utah! That is filled up DAILY!
I'm eating really well! Hooray! I made some potato dish the other day and am about to head out to this awesome food drive for students called manna 4 u. It is meant to support students or IHOP families from "involuntarily fasting", and students can sign up and get food for free or with a donation.
I am learning so much while I am here! I just finished up a week with Wes Hall teaching us about the End-Times and the basic structure and overview of Revelation and what the End Times is all about. BOY have I learned a lot! I'll probably post some thoughts on some of my classes. This week Allen Hood is teaching our class on the Praying Church, I'm looking forward to it.
Well this is basically it for the first blog! Till next time!
Hi Rebekah! I am so glad you are doing so well. I will be praying for you as you continue to settle in to life away from home. Love you! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear more about what you are learning at IHOP, Rebekah. What an incredible opportunity. Contact me for emergencies or a lake retreat (powdermoose@gmail.com for phone#). I'm only 30 minutes away. Good Shepherd and our church family there has been such a gift and blessing of hope and growth for me and helped God prepare me for prison ministry here in KC.
ReplyDeleteHey Rebekah - Loved reading your blog! So fun to hear a little about your experience at IHOP (still think of International House of Pancakes) when I see those words but I'm working hard on not thinking about the pancakes. Wow! Sounds like an awesome place and time! Wishing you all the very best in this new transition and hope to see you soon and fit in a trip to Delia's somehow. Bye for now - Tammi
ReplyDeleteThank you guys! You are sooo great! @fourth watch I'll definetly keep that in mind thank you!
